Description
41 Burrell Street in Crieff is a cottage dating from the later part of the 19th century. It is a single-storey building with an attic, featuring an asymmetrical three-bay design and a steeply-pitched pedimented doorway that completes a short terrace to the southwest. The exterior is constructed of squared and snecked rubble with ashlar dressings and has stop-chamfered arrises.
On the southeast elevation facing Burrell Street, there is a slightly advanced porch located off-centre to the left, which has a basket-arched doorway, a part-glazed timber door, and a plate glass fanlight. Above the porch, a narrow light in the pediment breaks the eaves. To the immediate left of the porch, there is a full-height shouldered chimney breast with a single window in the outer left bay. The bay to the right features a bipartite window, while canted tripartite dormers are positioned over the outer bays.
The northeast elevation, facing Carrington Terrace, is a blank wall with a broad gablehead stack. The building has modern glazing and is topped with graded grey slates. The chimney stacks are coped with ashlar and feature some polygonal cans, along with ashlar-coped skews that have moulded skewputts.
Surrounding the property are semicircular-coped rubble boundary walls.
