Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. Terraced pair of 2-storey and attic, 3-bay houses. Squared and snecked rubble with painted ashlar margins and quoins. Lined pointing to No 42. Deep base course. Hoodmoulds.

NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATIONS:

NO 42: symmetrical. Door to centre at ground with windows in flanking bays, regular fenestration to 1st floor and large, later, canted dormer windows over outer bays.

NO 46: as above but with timber door and plate glass fanlight, and small unaltered dormers.

NE (NO 42) ELEVATION: blank elevation with gablehead stack

SW (NO 46) ELEVATION: gabled elevation with window to left at each floor and gablehead stack.

4- and 12-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows to No 46, modern glazing to No 42. Graded grey slates with small traditional rooflights. Coped ashlar stacks with some cans. Plain bargeboarding.
