Description
Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 6-bay pair of traditional houses. Chlorite-slate rubble coursed at 1st floor S, with large quoins, projecting cills and slab lintels; dry-dash to rear. Ground floor lintel band course to No 26. Heavy harl-pointing on occasion.
S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Bays to right with part-glazed timber door to centre, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to 1st floor. Bays to left as above.
E ELEVATION: gabled elevation with window to right at ground, modern window above.
W ELEVATION: window to left at each floor. Bays adjoining at outer left (No 28) not included in this listing.
N (REAR) ELEVATION: altered elevation with steps up to door (No 22) on left return of projecting bay.
2-pane upper sashes over plate glass glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Graded grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with some cans. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding.
