Description
14 Harbour Street in Irvine is a late 18th century house that stands two stories high with an attic and features a rectangular plan. The exterior is harled, with a central timpany gable and plain ashlar margins.
On the northwest elevation, the central bay has asymmetrical openings, with the door offset to the right. To the left of the door are three varied windows, and there are three more varied windows on the first floor. The flanking bays are symmetrical, each with larger windows on both the ground and first floors, and there are bipartite flat-roofed dormers above.
The northeast elevation is attached to No 12, while the southwest elevation has a blank gable end.
The house features 12-pane timber sash and case windows, with one uPVC replacement above the door. The roof is covered in grey/green slate, and there is a stone skew and harled gablehead stack on the southwest side, along with a coped gable and a shallow ashlar stack on the central bay.
The interior was not seen in 1997.
