Description
Garynahine Lodge is an estate shooting lodge built in stages during the 19th and 20th centuries. The building has an asymmetrical shape and consists of one and two storeys, featuring harled walls, stacks, modern glazing, and slate roofs. The rear wing may be the earliest part of the lodge, possibly dating to the early 19th century. It has a symmetrical single storey with a three-bay west front, where the outer windows are set back in large Tudor-arched panels, and there is a round-arched attic window in the centre of the wall-head gable. An adjoining range at the southwest corner of the block is slightly later in date and includes a similar round-arched attic window in the centre gable on its south front, along with a porch on the west gable. Another adjoining range to the east is taller, consisting of two full storeys and appears to be from the early 20th century.
