Description

Roadbridge built circa 1920 for Lord Leverhulme, the beginning of an intended coastal road up the east flank of the island towards Ness. Ferro-concrete, an impressive design spanning a deep gully with a single 3-rib wide segmental arch, shallow-ramped roadway over is catilevered outwrds and carried on open arcaded spandrels; blank parapets.
