Description
East Lodge at Gordonstoun House was designed by A and W Reid in 1899. This single-storey building is in an L-shape and constructed from rubble with tooled dressings. It features a square balustraded porch located in the re-entrant, which has a small window and a door with a shouldered lintel. The south gable includes a triangular bay window, while the west elevation has a canted bay. The lodge has crowsteps, end stacks, and a slate roof, with a modern addition on the right side.
The gatepiers, dating from around 1900, are made of square rock-faced ashlar and are topped with coped stones that support urns. There is also a low quadrant wall with cast-iron railings.
