Description
Sluie Lodge, dated 1873 and likely designed by A and W Reid, is a single-storey, cruciform plan gate lodge. It features tooled rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The north elevation has two bays and includes a slightly set-back entrance with a shoulder lintel, which is covered by a bargeboarded canopy. There are flanking canted windows for the drive. The east elevation has two small windows beneath a monogrammed datestone. The lodge has lattice-pane glazing, a pair of coped octagonal ridge stacks at the center, and a steeply pitched slate roof with projecting eaves, simple bargeboards, and decorative cast-iron finials.
