Description

Dated 1873, probably A and W Reid. Single storey, cruciform

plan gabled gate lodge. Tooled rubble, tooled ashlar

dressings. 2-bay N elevation with slightly set-back shoulder

lintelled entrance under bargeboarded canopy. Flanking

canted window (to drive). 2 small windows in E elevation

under monogrammed datestone. Lattice-pane glazing; pair coped

octagonal centre ridge stacks; steeply pitched slate roof

with projecting eaves, simple bargeboards and decorative

cast-iron finials.
