Description
North Lodge at Logie House, dated 1925, is a single-storey Scottish Renaissance gate lodge built over a raised basement, which is only present on the south side. The building has an irregular plan and features gabled elevations. It is constructed from harl pointed rubble, bullfaced rubble, and tooled ashlar dressings. The north and west elevations, which face a curved driveway, have two bays, with the entrance located in the re-entrant angle on the west side. The north and east elevations display tripartite fenestration with multi-pane glazing.
A small square bartizan turret rises from the wallhead on the north side, topped with a bellcast pyramidal roof and featuring a thistle motif at the base of its wrought-iron finial. The lodge has coped wallhead stacks, crowstepped gables, and a slate roof. The raised basement on the south side has enlarged windows with modern glazing.
The gatepiers, likely built in the same year as the lodge, are a pair of square ashlar structures with crenellated caps, supporting a single wooden carriage gate.
