Mansefield, Coulardbank Road, Lossiemouth

Mansefield is a single storey and attic house built in 1849 by A and W Reid, located on Coulardbank Road in Lossiemouth. The house faces east and is set over a raised basement. It features a tooled rubble frontage and random rubble flanks, with a later harled wing at the rear. The central entrance has a shaped and finialled doorpiece with a blank shield in a decorative head, leading to a recessed entrance with a panelled door. This entrance is approached by a flight of steps with a simple cast-iron handrail.

The outer bays have projecting canted windows with mullions, and there are 2-light gabled wallhead dormers in the outer bays. The narrow lights have 4- and 6-pane glazing in the sashes. The house has broad end stacks, each topped with five coped diamond flues, and a slate roof. At the rear, there is a later two-storey, irregular three-bay wing.

The garden and manse are enclosed by simple coped rubble walls.
