Description

Coxtontower is a single-storey and attic, three-bay house built in 1867 by A and W Reid. The exterior is harled with ashlar margins and dressings. The central door is located in a slightly advanced gabled bay, featuring a round-headed entrance with a blank shield above it. There are bipartite windows in the outer bays and two gabled wallhead dormers. The ground floor windows retain their lying-pane glazing. The house has ball-finialled apices and end stacks with coped triple flues, all under slate roofs. A glazed conservatory has been added to the south gable, and there is a wing at the rear.
