Description

The Old Parish Church and Burial Ground in Lhanbryd is a square walled burial ground located on a hillside, which is the site of an earlier church. The burial ground is enclosed by a coped rubble wall and has entrances on the north and south sides, each featuring a pair of tooled ashlar gatepiers topped with shaped caps from the late 19th century. The southern entrance is approached by a wide flight of stone steps. Within the burial ground, there are tombstones dating from the 16th, 17th, 18th centuries, and later. Additionally, there are two square coped rubble walled burial enclosures.
