Description

The Old Parish Church and Burial Ground in Rafford is a burial ground enclosed by rubble walls, marking the site of a former church. Within the grounds, there are various burial enclosures featuring memorials dating from the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries, likely using materials from the old church. Notable are the substantial 18th-century tombstones. The entrance is flanked by a pair of square, tooled ashlar gatepiers topped with shallow pyramidal caps, which support a pair of cast-iron carriage gates.
