Description

The Innes Enclosure at Lhanbryd Burial Ground is a square burial enclosure built of rubble walls, likely incorporating fragments from an earlier church. It features polished ashlar margins and a moulded coping. The west face has a central entrance that is closed by a spearhead cast-iron gate. Inside, there is a recessed pointed-headed mural tomb that holds the effigy of a medieval recumbent knight. Additionally, there are two mural panels, which are probably re-set grave slabs, dated 1580 and 1612.
