Description
81 Clifton Road in Lossiemouth is a terrace of houses built in the later 18th century and around 1800. It consists of two-storey, five-bay houses that are slightly different in design, featuring a squared, coursed rubble frontage on the north side and a rubble east gable, with contrasting painted ashlar margins.
Number 79, dating from around 1800, has an enlarged ground floor shop window and single gable windows on both the ground and first floors. Number 81, from the later 18th century, has a central door and a regularly fenestrated frontage.
The buildings mainly feature 12-pane glazing, run-off skewputts to flat skews, coped end and ridge panelled stacks, and slate roofs.
