18-20 High Street, Gatehouse Of Fleet

18-20 High Street in Gatehouse of Fleet is an asymmetrical pair of two-storey, three-bay terraced houses built around 1800. The exterior features cherry-caulked rubble walling with polished granite monolithic margins.

At number 18, there were originally paired doorways in the left bay, but one has been blocked. The right side has an enlarged sash and case window with a four-pane glazing pattern.

Number 20 boasts a well-preserved late 19th-century shop front, which includes plate glass windows on either side of a glazed door topped with a small broken pediment below a fanlight. To the right, there is a six-panelled door with an astragalled fanlight.

The first floor has four windows, each with a large plate glass lower sash and a small upper sash featuring a three-pane glazing pattern. A coped stack is located at the party wall.
