The Hillocks, 17 Moray Street, Lossiemouth

The Hillocks is a house located at 17 Moray Street in Lossiemouth, built around 1909. This two-storey, three-bay structure features coursed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The south elevation has an off-centre door that is sheltered by a later loggia. The house includes projecting outer canted bay windows that rise two storeys and break the wallhead. There are single windows on both the ground and first floors of the west gable, with multi-pane glazing in the upper lights of the sash windows.

The house has coped end and rear wallhead stacks and a slate roof. The rear of the house is adjacent to the street and is flanked by high coped rubble walls. Additionally, there are small single-storey buildings of later construction on both the east and west sides of the house, each containing two rooms and abutting the rear wall that divides the property from the street.
