Description

Clifton, located at 3 Wood Street in Portsoy, is a house built between 1860 and 1870. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure featuring a frontage made of tooled, coursed rubble with recessed pointing and tooled ashlar dressings. The house has a central door, and each outer bay is topped with a gabled dormer that breaks the wallhead. The windows are modern two-pane metal frames with upper lights. The property has coped end stacks and a slate roof with pottery ridge tiles. There is a lean-to garage at the eastern gable, along with a modern sunroom and other extensions or additions at the rear.
