Description
8 Main Street in Portsoy is an early 19th century single-storey cottage featuring a wide three-bay design. The main west-facing front is constructed of painted rubble with contrasting painted courses, while the rear elevation is also rubble. The street gable is harled, and the reveals are painted. The cottage has a central entrance flanked by windows, and there is a single window in the street gable. The windows are timber sash and case with four-pane glazing. At the back, there is an extension with a single pitch roof. The roof is covered with slate, and there are rubble stacks at the ends.
