Description

4 Main Street in Portsoy is an early 19th century single-storey cottage. It features three bays, with an additional two bays extending from the south return gable, likely part of a former two-bay dwelling. The building is constructed of rubble with a harled gable, while the rear and extension have cement rendered margins and reveals. The front has a central door and a single window on the street gable, with plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows. The end and ridge stacks have been renewed, and the roof is covered with pantiles, featuring a slate easing course and a pottery ridge.
