Description

9 Main Street in Portsoy is a house from the later 19th century, likely built on the site of an earlier single-storey cottage. It is a single-storey and attic structure with three bays. The exterior features modern harl with contrasting painted margins and long and short detailing. There is a central doorway and two ground floor windows in the south gable. The outer bays have gabled dormers with painted concrete dressings and apex finials, and the windows are modern sash and case. The house has coped end stacks, a slate roof, and a pottery ridge.
