Description
Rosemount is a house located at 12 Castle Street in Findochty, built in 1910. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure made of rubble with contrasting painted courses and concrete dressings. The central bay is slightly advanced and features a central entrance that rises to a break in the wallhead, topped with a corniced dormer that has a ball finial. The entrance includes a panelled door with a cushioned cross-rail. The outer bays on both the ground and first floors have bipartite windows, while the first floor has wide gabled dormers with finials breaking the wallhead. The openings have segmental-headed lintels and the windows contain 2- and 4-pane glazing. The house has coped end stacks and a slate roof. There is also a garage at the west gable.
