Description

Late 19th century. 2 storey; 3 bay; rectangular plan shop with tenement above. Irregular coursed tooled sandstone with stugged and polished dressings. Long and short quoins; chamfered reveals.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: near symmetrical; central segmental arched doorway with polished hoodmould ornamented by moulded corbels and keystone. Slightly later door immediately to left with polished surround; segmental arched windows to outer left and right, again with carved moulded corbels and keystone. Regular fenestration to 1st floor.

NE AND SW ELEVATION: obscured by adjacent terrace.

NW ELEVATION: not seen 1997.

4 pane fixed timber windows to ground floor; 2 pane replacement sash and case windows to 1st floor. Grey slate roof with stone skews; cast iron rainwater goods; concrete faced coped gablehead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
