25-29 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock

25-29 John Finnie Street in Kilmarnock is a later 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical building constructed of cream sandstone ashlar. The ground floor features shop fronts with strip pilasters on the outer left and right, and a central door topped with a bracketed cornice. Above, there is a string course at the first floor, regular fenestration with hoodmoulds, and quoins at the corners. The building has an eaves course and a blocking course, with a gateway located to the right. There is also an adjoining building on the left.

On the entrance elevation, the central door is flanked by shop fronts that include central doors and large windows, with decorated strip pilasters at the ends. A single window is located at the first floor, with bipartite windows in the end bays. The first-floor windows are two-pane timber sash and case, while the ground floor has modern glazing. The roof is slate with straight skews and features a tall brick stack at the left gablehead. The interior was not seen in 2001.
