Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey and attic 3-bay flatted villa

with classical details. Pink sandstone, rendered ashlar to front,

droved ashlar to sides, harled to rear. Base course; braod angle

pilasters; eaves cornice and blocking course; ground floor windows with raised margins, recessed aprons and blcok pediments; 1st floor windows with lugged architraves.

NW (FRONT) ELEVATION: doorway to centre, fluted Doric doorpiece with triglyph and roundel frieze and dentilled cornice; panelled door with plate glass fanlight; single window to 1st floor and each floor of outer bays. 2 canted dormers.

SE (REAR) ELEVATION: modern access to 1st floor doorways; single windows to flanking bays. 2 gabled dormers.

NE ELEVATION: gabled; single windows to centre.

SW ELEVATION: as above, except for apex stack removed. Replacement windows throughout, 4-pane timber sash and case windows to rear dormers. Slate roof; gablehead stack to NE.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

Low coped stone boundary wall and gatepiers to front.
