Description

Later to late 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay cottage with lean-to addition to W, modern conservatory to E. Red sandstone, ashlar front, squared and snecked stugged rubble to rear and sides. Chamfered reveals; overhanging eaves with scalloped bargeboards and exposed rafters; ashlar mullions.

N (FRONT) ELEVATION: pilastered and corniced doorway to centre, deep-set panelled door and plate glass fanlight. Canted window to left bay. Corniced bipartite window to right bay. Canted dormers with piended roofs to outer bays; round-arched leaded dormer to centre.

S (REAR) ELEVATION: small piend-roofed extension to centre; 2 piend-roofed dormers with replacement glazing.

E ELEVATION gabled; modern single storey conservatory.

W ELEVATION: gabled; single storey lean-to addition. Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Slate roof, red ridge tiles; 2 corniced gablehead stacks to E and W, full complement of octagonal cans. Moulded eaves gutter.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

Rubble boundary wall to front.
