16-17 Albert Road, Gourock

16-17 Albert Road in Gourock is a two-storey, three-bay symmetrical flatted villa built in the earlier to mid-19th century, featuring classical architectural details. The front elevation is rendered, while the rear and sides are finished with stugged red ashlar. The building has a base course and architraved windows on the ground floor, which are topped with consoled block pediments. There is an eaves band and a cornice with a blocking course.

On the northwest (front) elevation, there is a central doorpiece supported by Ionic columns, featuring a dentilled cornice and a blocking course above. The first floor has regular fenestration, with windows in the flanking bays.

The southeast (rear) elevation includes a curved rubble-built forestair leading to a central doorway on the first floor, which is adorned with decorative iron railings. There are windows in the flanking bays and a secondary doorway at ground level.

The southwest elevation features a broad wallhead stack at the center, with single windows to the left and in the first floor of the center bay. The building has modern aluminium replacement windows throughout and a piended grey slate roof, with two pairs of linked wallhead stacks on the southwest and northeast sides.

The interior was not seen in 1993.
