Description

The War Memorial on Albert Road in Gourock was built around 1920. It is made of polished grey granite and features a square-plan stepped base that has inscribed bronze plaques. Atop the base stands a tall panelled obelisk, which is surmounted by a cross. The memorial also includes laurel wreaths, carved shields, and inscriptions on its faces.
