Description
The war memorial, built around 1920, is made of granite and features a square base with three steps leading up to a coved plinth. On top of this stands a cross-pedimented corniced rectangular column, which has inscriptions on each side. The north and south sides of the column include projecting panels with hipped tops and scroll bases. Additional inscriptions were added in 1945. Surrounding the memorial is a quadrilateral dwarf boundary wall constructed from coursed and square rubble, topped with chamfered concrete coping. The wall is complemented by square concrete piers that have octagonal capitals, along with patterned wrought iron railings and a gate.
