Description
The Post Office is a house that now serves as both a residence and a post office. It was built in the mid-18th century and mid-19th century. The building features coursed and squared rubble, which is rendered and pebbledashed, topped with a steep pitched slate roof. It has stone quoins and three gable stacks. The structure is two storeys high with garrets and consists of three bays. The windows are flush mullioned casements and 19th-century plain sashes.
On the south side, there is a two-storey service wing on the left with a sash window. To the right, there is a door with an illegible datestone above, flanked by single casements. Above this door, there are three casements, two of which on the right side are blocked. The rear elevation has a central casement on each floor. The east gable has a single-storey lean-to addition made of brick and rubble, with a pantile roof, which includes a sash window and a door. To the right, there is another door with a segmental head, flanked by single sashes. Above this, there are two sashes on each floor, with the garret windows being smaller.
