Description
This is a late 18th-century farmhouse, now a house, located on Chapel Street in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The building is constructed of dressed stone with a slate roof, and features corniced stone stacks to the ridge and gable. It is two storeys high with a three-bay front. The majority of the windows are glazing bar sashes. The east front has two sashes to the left, followed by two doors, and then a single sash window. A single-storey lean-to addition is situated to the right of the doors, and a boundary wall with a doorway stands adjacent. Above the lean-to addition are three sash windows. The rear elevation includes a two-storey lean-to addition to the left, with a glazing bar casement on each floor. To the right of the lean-to addition are a sash window and a French window. Above, a sash window is present, and to the right a larger casement.
