Description

Circa 1910. 2-storey asymmetrical villa with Art Nouveau details, now subdivided. White harl, cream sandstone dressings. Battered base to bays; ashlar mullions; overhanging eaves with exposed rafters.

W (FRONT) ELEVATION: 3-bay; canted corner bay to outer left with tripartite windows and finialled pyramidal roof, Mackintosh-inspired floral motif to apron of 1st floor windows. 2 windows to centre bay. Bay to outer right with canted window at ground floor; bipartite windows above.

S ELEVATION: slightly advanced centre bay with doorway now mainly obscured by modern garage extension; floral motif (see above) and 2 narrow windows above doorway; 2 wallhead stacks.

N ELEVATION: lower 2-storey projection with side lights and prominent, harled dog-leg forestair (later addition) leading to doorway, segmental-arched tripartite window with stained glass above; wallhead stack.

Timber sash and case windows with small-pane upper sashes and plate glass lower sashes to 1st floor, modern replacement windows to ground floor. Piended and platformed bellcast slate roof with metal flashings; 3 wallhead stacks (see above).

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

BOUNDARY WALLS: stepped harled boundary wall with flat sandstone coping.
