10 Victoria Road, Gourock

8 Victoria Road in Gourock is a two-storey, six-bay Italianate double villa built around 1890, featuring a basement at the rear. The building is constructed from variegated sandstone with stugged ashlar on the front and rear, and squared and snecked stugged rubble on the sides. Notable architectural features include a string course above the ground floor, a moulded cill course at the first floor, ashlar mullions, overhanging eaves, exposed rafters, and decorative brackets.

The southeast (front) elevation has mirrored designs around the center, with two advanced gabled bays on the outer right and left, each topped with finials and featuring bipartite and single windows. A lean-to porch is located in the re-entrant angle of the central bays, supported by a carved timber column and a small-pane glazed dividing screen, with plain doorways that have two-leaf panelled doors. Windows are present above these doorways at the first floor.

The northeast elevation features a gable with a bipartite window at the first floor, which includes stained glass glazing. The southwest elevation mirrors this design. The northwest (rear) elevation is four-bay with three-storey canted windows, as the basement is revealed due to the sloping ground. The outer bays have finialled piended roofs, while the center bays contain bipartite windows. The villa is fitted with timber sash and case windows that have plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with green slate, and there are corniced wallhead stacks on the southwest and northeast sides.

The interior was not seen in 1993. The property is enclosed by boundary walls, which consist of a low rubble wall with saddleback coping and later railings at the front, and a taller wall with semi-circular coping on the sides. There are also four corniced ashlar gatepiers with arched caps.
