Description

Circa 1900. 2-storey and attic, square plan asymmetrical

villa with advanced bays and modern extension at rear.

Harled. Red sandstone base course and quoins. Applied

timber framing at 1st floor to front and sides.

W (ROAD) ELEVATION: advanced bay to left with 4-light

canted window at ground bearing jettied gable above.

Single windows to centre and outer right bay with swept

dormerheads to 1st floor windows.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: glazing pentice-roofed porch, at

centre with doorways on W in applied round arched timber

frame. Advanced gabled bay at left with 3-light window

at 1st floor. Swept dormer head to outer right, as

above.

E (REAR) ELEVATION: irregular openings with modern

addition at right to ground floor.

S ELEVATION: similar to W elevation.

Small-pane glazing to casements at 1st floor and modern

plate glass sashes at ground. Red tile roof with piend

given diminutive gable at summit to W; swept eaves with

timber brackets and barge boarded gables. Flat-roofed

3-light dormers, with pediments to centre lights set high

in roof.

Harled stacks; diminishing and with sandstone coping.

INTERIOR: simple timber classical chimneypieces and

panelled doors.

Harled retaining wall with ashlar coping and gatepiers and

simple iron railings.
