Description
The building is a 17th-century single-storey former smithy located on Main Street in Gullane. It is constructed of random rubble and features a pantiled roof. The walls have now sunk below ground level. The west gable includes a small square light, while the north elevation is blank.
On the southeast elevation, there is a doorway to the outer left that breaks the eaves, which have a swept roof. To the outer right, there is a projecting bay with a cat slide roof that continues with the main pitch. The centre of this elevation has a timber mullioned bipartite window and a small light. There is also a gable wall stack on the east side.
