Description
Old Lodge at Lochrosque Lodge dates from around 1830 and is a single-storey building with a square plan featuring three wide bays. The exterior is finished in harled rubble. The north entrance has a wide recessed porch with a wooden pediment, which is supported by closely paired wooden piers connected by a short turned wood balustrade. Narrow lights flank the central door. There is also a later shallow projecting gabled porch at the center of the east elevation. The building has two modern box dormers and a large modern window in the center of the south elevation. Most of the original lying-pane glazing remains intact. The roof has four symmetrical stacks and features ridges that form an inverted M-shape, linked centrally in an east-west direction, and is covered with slates.
