Description
Kyle House is an early 19th century building with later additions. It has two storeys and three wide bays, featuring harled walls with ashlar margins. The central door is flanked by a later square projecting porch that has a moulded cornice, and there is a side entrance as well. The windows have 12-pane glazing, and there are paired panelled ridge stacks on the roof, which is covered with piended slate.
At the northeast gable, there is a two-storey, three-bay wing that was added in the mid to late 19th century. This wing is set back and has an end stack, also with a piended slate roof. A modern sunroom fills the re-entrant angle created by this wing, which is located at the rear of the house.
