Description
A group of fifteen drystone byre and barn structures, dating to the 18th and 19th centuries, are situated at Duirinish. These buildings form a U-shaped enclosure, with the Duirinish-Drumbuie road closing off the open end. Most of the buildings are approximately 36 feet by 18 feet, with some joined gable to gable, and one is roofless. They feature horizontally halved doors and vented sides, with the louvres primarily consisting of vertically laid lengths of barked, unfinished slender timber. Corrugated iron has replaced the original thatched roofing.
