Description
Mayfield is an early 19th century building with later additions. It has two storeys and three bays, along with single-storey wings on either side that have piended roofs, although the eastern wing features modern windows. The structure is built from rubble with painted margins. A central gabled porch was added in 1860, and the building has four-pane sash windows, an eaves course, cornice end stacks, and a slate roof. At the rear, there is a projecting stair bay and a U-plan courtyard. To the west, there is a long barn that connects to a single-storey and attic three-bay cottage, which has two piended dormers and a slate roof.
