Description
The building is a manse located on Schoolwell Street in Stevenston, built in 1787. A part of the earlier manse remains and serves as the Kitchen Wing at the rear; this section features a triangular stone panel inscribed with the date 1700 and a Latin inscription. The principal facade is two storeys high and includes five sash windows, with two bipartite windows on the ground floor and tripartite windows on the first floor flanking a single central light. The exterior is harled with painted dressings and raised quoins, and it has a moulded eavesband. The entrance features a pedimented porch topped by a ball finial. An addition was made to the right in 1885 by John Burnett, which includes a flat canted bay window. The roof is covered with slate and has plain gables.
