Description
The Parish Church on Schoolwell Street in Stevenston was designed by architect Thomas Garven and built in 1832, with renovations completed in 1882. The church features a rectangular plan with four bays and a tall square tower that is adorned with Gothic arcading, a clock, pinnacles, an octagonal lantern, and a spire. At the entrance to the Manse garden, there is a flat pointed archway that displays the dates 1833-1933. The churchyard is walled and contains several notable 18th and 19th century headstones, along with the original pulpit from 1834 and a bell made by Mears. The church occupies a prominent site in the area.
