Description
Strathconon Church, designed by Thomas Telford in 1830, is a standard Parliamentary T-plan church. It is constructed of coursed rubble with tooled ashlar margins. The south elevation features depressed arched doors in the outer bays, along with a similarly arched pair of central windows that have Y-tracery and transomed lattice glazing made of cast iron. The east and west gables, as well as the east and west elevations of the rear wing, have windows with the same detailing. At the east apex, there is a cross, and a standard bellcote is located at the west. The church has a slate roof. Inside, the interior has been recast, and the wing is now partitioned.
