Description

The Burial Ground at Lochluichart Parish Church, designed by Thomas Telford in 1825, features a modified standard Parliamentary T-plan design. The building is constructed of rubble with tooled ashlar margins and has a harled east gable. The north elevation, which faces the road, includes paired centre depressed arched windows with smaller windows in the outer bays. Similar large windows are found in the east and west gables, as well as in the east and west elevations of the rear wing. There is a flat-headed entrance in the southeast re-entrant. The windows feature lattice glazing with Y-tracery and a transom. At the apex of the east gable, there is a standard stone cross, and a bellcote is located at the west. An unusual stone ridge stack is present on the rear roof, along with a later ridge ventilator, and the roof is covered with slate.

Inside, the burial ground has a simple re-cast interior. It contains a large table tomb dedicated to Lady Ashburton of Rosehall in Sutherland.
