Description
The Manse at Waternish Parish Church in Hallin, Skye, was designed by Thomas Telford in 1828. This two-storey building features three bays and is finished with harled walls and painted margins. At each gable, there are small porches that are set back, which have blocked doorways and shaped parapets. A later addition is a projecting gabled porch at the center of the front. The windows have 8-pane glazing, and there are end stacks with a slate roof.
At the rear, there is a later projecting center bay, along with a rear wing and a service lean-to. Additionally, there is a simple rubble stable and byre built in a traditional style, topped with a corrugated iron roof that was formerly thatched. The property is also surrounded by a drystone dyke.
