Description
This building is a warehouse designed for William Russel Ross by Maitland and Sons in 1884. It is a three-storey, seven-bay structure made of coursed rubble with tooled dressings. The east elevation is symmetrical, featuring segmental-headed windows and vents arranged in vertically panelled bays. There is a central corbelled gabled head for the loft hoist, which is set under a round-headed arch. The north and south gables each have two bays, similarly styled with paired windows beneath round-headed panels. To the west, there are original asymmetrical outshots, including a central semi-circular recessed window bay with a segmental arched pend on the ground floor. The west side has modern glazing, and the building is topped with a slate roof and ball finials.
