Description
Ashbank is a late 19th century villa located at 174 Nithsdale Road in Pollokshields, Glasgow. This two-storey, three-bay building features a barge-boarded design and is constructed of stone-cleaned ashlar. The villa has an L-shaped front with a central porch that includes a pointed-arched doorway supported by a recessed shaft. The doorway is adorned with a dog-tooth pattern and a traceried fanlight, along with two small lights positioned above it. To the right, there is a two-storey canted window that projects from the building. The villa has end stacks and is topped with a slate roof.
The property is complemented by gatepiers that have decorative caps and a low boundary wall that runs along the street.
