Description
This building at 10 Leslie Road in Glasgow, dating from around 1880 to 1890, reflects the influence of architect Alexander Thomson. It is a two-storey, three-bay villa featuring deep bracketed eaves with pediments above the outer windows. The near-centre porch is pedimented and supported by square columns that have incised ornamentation. The outer bays have mullioned windows, while the left bay has a curved ground floor window that is slightly advanced. The right bay features a projecting bipartite window with pilastered jambs and mullions. The exterior is finished in stone-cleaned yellow ashlar that is stugged and snecked, with plate glass sash windows and end stacks. The roof is covered with piended slate. The boundary wall is also stone-cleaned and includes square gatepiers.
