Description
This later 19th century villa at 3 Bruce Road in Pollokshields, Glasgow, shows the influence of architect Alexander Thomson. The building features stone-cleaned ashlar and broad-eaved slate roofs. It has two storeys and three bays, with a basement at the rear and a low wing to the right. The central entrance has a pedimented doorcase with a round-arched doorway. The left bay is gabled and includes tripartite windows with pilastered mullions, set between giant pilaster strips, topped with a fret-worked gable-head. The windows are fitted with plate glass sashes, and there are end stacks. A boundary wall runs along the street.
