Castramont, 10 Bruce Road, Pollokshields, Glasgow

Castramont is a symmetrical villa built in the later 19th century, featuring two stories and three bays. The design includes a central open porch and steep-gabled outer bays. The windows have timber mullions and transoms, with canted windows at the ground level and stepped windows on the first floor. Glazed quatrefoils are present in the gable heads, and the timbering is simplified. The exterior is finished with stugged coursers and polished dressings, and it has end stacks and slate roofs.

The boundary wall along the street is also made of ashlar stone with moulded coping and is stepped to follow the slope of the street. There are ashlar gatepiers as well.
