Description
Thornwood Hall is a symmetrical villa built in the later 19th century, featuring two storeys and three bays. It is one of a pair of similar buildings. The villa has a Corinthian-columned porch and full-height canted windows in the outer bays, which are adorned with pilastered mullions. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar with painted details, and it includes plate glass sash windows. The deep-bracketted eaves and end stacks complement the piended slate roof. The property is enclosed by ashlar boundary walls, and there is a single tall square and panelled gatepier that survives from the original pair.
